We've caught it!!  The "Alpaca Bug."  Once you've caught it there is no cure.  These wonderful creatures will steal your heart.  Just being in their presence brings peace to your soul. 
Alpacas originate from South America and are members of the camel family, minus the humps.  And like camels they do spit, though usually at each other rather than humans. It is the alpaca fleece that is our future.  It is softer, lighter, and stronger than wool.   Alpacas also make good profits for their owners.  And did I mention the tax incentives?!!
There are many opportunities available for alpaca ownership and you don't even have to own your own ranch!
